Band Cross-Body One-Arm Chest Press
A one-arm chest press against a band anchored on the opposite side; it crosses the chest and pulls the torso toward the anchor.
How to do it
Setup
Side-on to an anchor at chest height, the band across the chest to the far hand at the shoulder, feet hip-width.
Steps
- Press the hand straight forward until the arm is straight.
- Keep the shoulders square to the front as the band pulls sideways.
- Bring the hand back to the shoulder slowly; switch sides after the set.
Common mistakes
Torso turning toward the anchor: brace and keep the chest facing forward. Hand drifting toward the anchor: press straight ahead of the shoulder. Letting the band yank the arm back: a slow return keeps the chest loaded.
Breathing
Exhale pressing, inhale returning.
