Three Bench Dip
Hands on two parallel benches, heels on a third; the gap lets the hips sink lower than on one bench.
How to do it
Setup
Two benches about shoulder-width apart, hands on their edges, heels on a third.
Steps
- Lower the hips into the gap until the upper arms are level.
- Keep the elbows pointing back, not out.
- Press back to straight arms.
Common mistakes
Benches too wide: the elbows flare; keep the gap near shoulder-width. Sinking as deep as the gap allows: stop at level. Heels slipping off the far bench: set it a leg's length away.
Breathing
Inhale down, exhale pressing.
