Single-Leg Dip on Floor
The floor dip with one leg held straight in the air for the whole set; the arms lift more and the hips must stay level.
How to do it
Setup
Hands behind the hips, fingers forward, one foot flat, the other leg raised straight.
Steps
- Lift the hips off the floor on straight arms.
- Bend the elbows straight back, the raised leg staying up.
- Press back up; switch legs only after the set.
Common mistakes
Hips tilting toward the raised leg: keep them level. Raised leg dropping to help: it stays up all set. Sitting down between reps: the hips hover.
Breathing
Inhale bending, exhale pressing.
