The floor bridge on one leg, hips kept level throughout.

Single-Leg Glute Bridge, illustrated

How to do it

Setup

On the floor, one foot planted, the other leg extended, arms at the sides.

Steps

  1. Drive the hips up on the single leg.
  2. Keep the pelvis level and the free leg in line.
  3. Lower without resting; finish the leg, switch.

Common mistakes

Pelvis tipping: level rules the rep count. Pushing through the toes: heel. Free leg dropping: it rides in line with the body.

Breathing

Exhale driving, inhale lowering.
