Single-Leg Balance Cross Punch
Balance on one leg with the other knee lifted and throw punches across the body; the balance is the hard part.
How to do it
Setup
On one leg, the other knee raised in front, fists up by the chin.
Steps
- Punch across the body with one arm.
- Bring it back and punch with the other arm.
- Keep the lifted knee up; switch legs after the set.
Common mistakes
Standing hip dropping out to the side: keep the pelvis level over the foot. Lifted foot touching down to save the balance: slow the punches until you can hold. Twisting the standing knee: turn from the chest.
Breathing
Exhale on each punch.
