Resistance Band Side Lunge
The side lunge with a loop band just above the knees; the band pulls the knees in, so the outer hip works to keep them tracking over the feet.
How to do it
Setup
A loop band above the knees, feet hip-width, hands clasped at the chest.
Steps
- Step sideways against the band and bend that knee.
- Keep both knees pushed out over the toes.
- Push back to the start without letting the band snap the legs together.
Common mistakes
Knees collapsing toward the band's pull: press them out. Band rolling down the legs: set it flat above the knees. Short steps to spare the band: step wide enough to sit into the hip.
Breathing
Inhale into the lunge, exhale pushing back.
