Resistance Band Seated Single-Leg Knee Extension

Seated on the floor with a flat band from a high anchor looped under one knee, press the knee down straight against the band's pull.

How to do it

Setup

Seated on the floor, leaning back on the hands, a flat band from a frame above looped under one knee, the leg long.

Steps

  1. Let the band lift the knee into a slight bend.
  2. Tighten the thigh and press the knee down straight.
  3. Hold for a beat, then ease off; switch legs after the set.

Common mistakes

Band too slack to lift the knee: shorten it until it pulls the knee up. Lifting the hips to push down: keep the seat on the floor. Letting the band snap the knee up: release under control.

Breathing

Exhale tightening, inhale relaxing.
