Resistance Band Seated Single-Leg Curl

Seated on the floor leaning back on the hands, one foot in a band anchored in front; drag that heel back toward the hips against the pull.

How to do it

Setup

Seated on the floor facing the anchor, hands behind the hips, one leg long with the band around its foot.

Steps

  1. Pull the heel back along the floor toward the hips.
  2. Hold the heel close to the hips for a beat.
  3. Slide the foot back out slowly against the band.

Common mistakes

Sliding the whole body toward the anchor: brace on the hands and stay put. Heel lifting off the floor: it drags along it. Rocking the torso to help: the upper body stays still.

Breathing

Exhale drawing the heel in, inhale letting it out.
