Resistance Band Elevated Glute Bridge

The glute bridge with the feet up on a step and a looped band above the knees: the raised feet lengthen the range, the band keeps the knees pushing out.

How to do it

Setup

On your back, heels on a low step, knees bent, a looped band just above the knees.

Steps

  1. Press the knees out against the band before the hips leave the floor.
  2. Drive through the heels until knees, hips and shoulders line up.
  3. Lower all the way with the band still taut.

Common mistakes

Knees caving toward each other: the band wants it; keep them over the feet. Heels sliding off the step: set them in the middle of it. Arching at the top: ribs down, the glutes finish.

Breathing

Exhale driving up, inhale lowering.
