Resistance Band Anti-Rotation Dead Bug

The dead bug with the arms holding a band that pulls from one side; the legs lower in turn while the trunk refuses to be turned.

How to do it

Setup

On your back side-on to an anchor at the height of the raised hands, the band held in both hands straight over the chest, hips and knees at 90°.

Steps

  1. Keep the hands locked over the chest against the pull.
  2. Lower one leg long toward the floor, then bring it back.
  3. Switch legs each rep; after the set, lie with the anchor on the other side.

Common mistakes

Hands drifting toward the anchor: press them back over the chest. Hips rolling toward the band: keep both hips heavy on the floor. Lower back arching as the leg drops: shorten the reach.

Breathing

Exhale as the leg reaches, inhale bringing it back.
