Plyo Push-Up
The push-up driven hard enough for the hands to leave the floor, then caught on bent elbows; no clap, so all the effort goes into height and a soft landing.
How to do it
Setup
High plank, hands under the shoulders, body braced in one line.
Steps
- Lower the chest quickly but under control.
- Explode up until the hands leave the floor.
- Land on soft elbows and sink straight into the next rep.
Common mistakes
Landing on locked elbows: always land into the bend. Hips piking to get the hands up: the push comes from the chest and arms, the body stays one line. Grinding out reps once the height drops: stop the set there.
Breathing
Sharp exhale on the drive.
