Pinwheel Curl, illustrated

How to do it

Setup

Neutral grip, bells at the sides.

Steps

  1. Curl one bell across the body toward the opposite shoulder, hammer-style.
  2. Keep the elbow low as the forearm sweeps.
  3. Lower along the diagonal; alternate.

Common mistakes

Shoulder lifting to carry the bell: the elbow bends, the shoulder watches. Rotating the grip: hammer the whole way. Rushing the crossover: slow diagonal, full contact with the movement.

Breathing

Exhale on each curl, inhale lowering.
