Medicine Ball Single-Leg Deadlift
The single-leg deadlift holding a medicine ball in both hands, lowered from the chest toward the floor in front of the standing foot.
How to do it
Setup
Standing on one leg, knee soft, a medicine ball held at the chest in both hands.
Steps
- Hinge forward, letting the arms lower the ball toward the floor.
- Reach the free leg straight back as a counterweight.
- Stand up and bring the ball back to the chest; switch legs after the set.
Common mistakes
Rounding to touch the ball down: the ball goes only as low as the flat back allows. Standing knee caving in: keep it over the toes. Hips rolling open: level to the floor.
Breathing
Inhale hinging, exhale standing.
