Machine Kneeling Reverse Hyperextension

A kneeling glute machine: on all fours on its pad, drive the lever up behind you with the sole of one foot until the thigh lines up with the back.

How to do it

Setup

On all fours on the machine's pad, hands on the grips, the sole of the working foot against the lever's pad.

Steps

  1. Push the lever up and back until the thigh is level with the torso.
  2. Squeeze the glute at the top without arching.
  3. Let the lever down slowly; finish the leg, then switch.

Common mistakes

Arching the lower back to push higher: the thigh stops at torso level. Letting the stack crash down: control the return. Rolling the hips toward the working side: keep them square to the floor.

Breathing

Exhale pushing back, inhale returning.
