Lying Single Leg Circle
Lying on the back, one straight leg points up and draws circles while the other stays long and low; the Pilates one-leg circle, the whole set on one side.
How to do it
Setup
Lying on the back, arms by the sides, one leg straight up, the other long and low.
Steps
- Circle the raised leg across the body, down and round.
- Keep the pelvis still and both hips down.
- Reverse the circles, then switch legs.
Common mistakes
Hips rocking with the leg: shrink the circle until the pelvis stays still. Bending the working knee: keep it straight but soft. Letting the arms lift: press them into the floor.
Breathing
Steady with the rhythm.
