Landmine Romanian Deadlift
The Romanian deadlift holding the loaded end of a landmine bar in both hands; the pivot swings the bar through a slight arc that keeps it close to the legs.
How to do it
Setup
At the loaded end of a landmine, the bar held in both hands in front of the thighs, feet hip-width, knees soft.
Steps
- Push the hips back as the bar end travels down along the legs.
- Stop at the hamstrings' stretch, back flat.
- Bring the hips through to stand, the bar end rising along the thighs.
Common mistakes
Bending the knees more to go lower: the hips go back, the knees keep their bend. Letting the bar drift forward: keep it brushing the thighs. Rounding the back to get lower: stop where the hamstrings are fully stretched.
Breathing
Inhale hinging, exhale standing.
