Kettlebell Squat 1.5 Reps
The wide-stance kettlebell squat with the bell hanging between the legs, done as one and a half: full depth, halfway up, back down, then all the way up.
How to do it
Setup
Feet wide, toes turned out, the bell hanging on straight arms between the legs, chest up.
Steps
- Squat until the bell nearly touches the floor.
- Rise halfway, then sink back to the bottom.
- Stand all the way up; that whole sequence is one rep.
Common mistakes
Rushing the half rep: the extra pass under load is the point; keep it slow. Knees caving toward the bell: push them out over the turned-out toes. Arms lifting the bell: it hangs on straight arms; the legs do the work.
Breathing
Inhale down, short exhale at the half, full exhale standing up.
