Kettlebell Bottoms-Up Single-Arm Overhead Carry
The overhead carry with the bell held upside down, bottom up, on a locked arm; balancing it makes the grip and the shoulder work on every step.
How to do it
Setup
One bell pressed overhead bottom up, the handle squeezed hard, wrist straight, biceps by the ear.
Steps
- Walk slowly in a straight line, the bell stacked over the shoulder.
- Keep the forearm vertical so the bell stays balanced.
- Bring the bell down to the rack before switching arms.
Common mistakes
Wrist bending back: the bell tips; keep the wrist straight and the grip crushing. Walking fast: short, even steps keep the bell balanced. Heavy bell before the balance is there: bottoms up takes a far lighter bell than a normal carry.
Breathing
Steady throughout the walk.
