Kettlebell Biceps Curl

Curl with the bell hanging below the hand; the weight sits further out, so the forearm works harder than with a dumbbell.

How to do it

Setup

A kettlebell in each hand, bells hanging below the grip, elbows pinned.

Steps

  1. Curl the bells to the shoulders.
  2. Keep the wrists straight as the offset weight pulls.
  3. Lower slowly against the same pull.

Common mistakes

Wrists folding back: the bell's offset targets exactly that; lock them. Bells banging the forearms: control the top. Swinging the bells' mass: slower than a dumbbell curl.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
