Elliptical Machine Skiing
The elliptical stride flattened into long gliding steps, like cross-country skiing, with the arms driving the levers.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall on the long sliding footplates, a hand on each moving lever.
Steps
- Slide one foot forward as the other glides back, long and smooth.
- Push and pull the levers, the opposite arm with each leg.
- Keep the hips level and the whole foot on the plate.
Common mistakes
Short choppy strides: use the full length of the glide. Arms along for the ride: push and pull the levers as hard as the legs work. Leaning on the console: stand tall over the plates.
Breathing
Steady with the strides.
