Dumbbell Rotation Reverse Fly

The chest-supported reverse fly with a turn of the grip: the bells start palms in and finish with the palms turned down.

How to do it

Setup

Chest on an incline bench, bells hanging under the shoulders with the palms facing each other, elbows soft.

Steps

  1. Raise the bells out to the sides, turning the palms down as they rise.
  2. Stop with the arms level with the shoulders.
  3. Lower, turning the palms back in, without lifting the chest.

Common mistakes

Turning the palms only at the top: the turn runs through the whole lift. Chest lifting off the pad: stay glued; the support is the point. Bells too heavy to turn: the rotation needs a light pair; drop the weight.

Breathing

Exhale opening the arms, inhale lowering.
