Dumbbell One-Arm Wrist Curl

Seated with one forearm on the thigh and the palm up, the wrist lowers the dumbbell and curls it back up, one arm at a time.

How to do it

Setup

Seated on a bench, one forearm along the thigh, palm up, the hand just past the knee holding the bell.

Steps

  1. Lower the bell by bending the wrist back.
  2. Curl the wrist up as far as it goes.
  3. Switch arms after the set.

Common mistakes

Forearm sliding forward off the thigh: keep the wrist just past the knee. Curling the elbow to help: only the wrist bends. Bouncing at the bottom: lower slowly and stop.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
