Dumbbell Decline Bench Lunge

The decline bench lunge holding dumbbells at the sides; they are easier to set down than a bar if the foot slips.

How to do it

Setup

Dumbbells at the sides, front foot on the decline bench's pad, rear foot on the floor.

Steps

  1. Plant the front foot flat on the pad.
  2. Sink the back knee, bells hanging straight.
  3. Drive up through the front foot.

Common mistakes

Bells swinging into the bench: hold them still at the sides. Front heel sliding down the slope: shoes with grip, foot set flat. Torso leaning over the front knee: stay tall.

Breathing

Inhale down, exhale up.
