Cable Straight Legs Pull-Through (With Rope)
The cable pull-through with the knees kept straight: the hinge comes from the hips alone, so the hamstrings stretch and work harder.
How to do it
Setup
Back to a low pulley, a rope held between the legs, feet hip-width, legs straight with the knees unlocked.
Steps
- Hinge until the torso nears parallel, the rope drawn back through the legs.
- Keep the knees straight and the back flat.
- Drive the hips forward to stand tall.
Common mistakes
Bending the knees at the bottom: that is the regular pull-through; the legs stay straight. Rounding the back for depth: stop where the hamstrings pull. Locking the knees hard: straight, not jammed.
Breathing
Inhale hinging, exhale standing.
