Cable Seated Neck Flexion (With Head Harness)
Seated with the back to a cable stack, the cable hooked to a head harness; the chin draws down toward the chest against the pull.
How to do it
Setup
Seated upright with the back to the stack, the harness on the head, the cable at head height behind, hands on the thighs.
Steps
- Let the cable draw the head back to a neutral line, not past it.
- Bring the chin down toward the chest slowly.
- Return to neutral under control.
Common mistakes
Letting the cable yank the head back: stop at neutral every rep. Rocking the torso to move the stack: the trunk stays still, the neck works. Going heavy on the neck: light weight, slow reps.
Breathing
Exhale on the flexion, inhale returning.
