Cable One-Arm Side Triceps Pushdown

The one-arm pushdown across the body: the cable comes from the high pulley on the other side, and the hand drives from the far side of the chest down to the near hip.

How to do it

Setup

Standing by a high pulley on the side away from the working arm, the handle at the far side of the chest, the free hand on the hip.

Steps

  1. Drive the handle down and across to the front of the near thigh.
  2. Keep the upper arm close to the ribs.
  3. Let the hand return across the chest under control; switch arms after the set.

Common mistakes

Turning the trunk with the pull: shoulders stay square. The elbow swinging away from the ribs: keep it close so the triceps extend the arm. Rushing the return: let the cable bring the hand back slowly.

Breathing

Exhale pressing, inhale returning.
