Cable One-Arm Bent-Over Row

One handle rowed from a low pulley in a staggered hinge, the free hand on the front knee; the torso stays square to the floor.

How to do it

Setup

Staggered stance facing the low pulley, hinged with a flat back, free hand on the front knee, the handle on a long arm.

Steps

  1. Row the handle to the hip, elbow past the ribs.
  2. Hold the shoulders level as the elbow finishes.
  3. Let the arm reach long toward the pulley.

Common mistakes

Rotating toward the pulley on the return: the shoulders stay square. Pulling to the chest: the elbow drives to the hip. Rising out of the hinge: hold the angle.

Breathing

Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
