Cable Low Chest Press

A standing press from the high pulleys, both hands driving forward and down toward the hips; the downward line works the lower chest.

How to do it

Setup

Between the towers, cables from the high pulleys, handles at the chest, split stance, torso leaning slightly forward.

Steps

  1. Press the handles forward and down until the arms are straight.
  2. Finish with the hands low in front of the hips.
  3. Let the cables bring the handles back to the chest slowly.

Common mistakes

Leaning further forward with each rep: hold one torso angle for the whole set. Elbows flaring up toward the ears: keep them below the shoulders. Stack slamming between reps: stop short of rest to keep the tension.

Breathing

Exhale pressing, inhale returning.
