Cable Incline Biceps Curl

Lying back on an incline bench with the feet toward a low pulley, curl the handle toward the shoulders; the bench fixes the torso and the cable keeps pulling at the top.

How to do it

Setup

Incline bench set in front of a low pulley, lying back on it, the pulley's bar held at the thighs, arms long.

Steps

  1. Curl the bar toward the shoulders, upper arms against the sides.
  2. Keep the back and the head on the bench.
  3. Lower until the arms are straight and the cable still taut.

Common mistakes

Bench so close to the stack that the cable slackens at the bottom: slide it back. Shoulders lifting off the pad on hard reps: stay down and drop the weight. Elbows flaring away from the body: keep them tucked.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
