Barbell Leg Twist Press

Lying on the floor with a barbell pressed up over the chest, the straight legs lower from vertical to one side and back, then to the other.

How to do it

Setup

Lying on the back, a barbell held at arm's length over the chest, legs straight up.

Steps

  1. Lower both legs together toward one side.
  2. Keep the bar locked over the chest and the shoulders down.
  3. Bring the legs back up and lower them to the other side.

Common mistakes

Dropping the legs too far: lower only as far as the shoulders stay down. Bar drifting toward the face: keep it stacked over the chest. Bending the knees mid-set: keep the legs long throughout.

Breathing

Exhale rising, inhale lowering.
