Barbell Floor Press
Lying on the floor, lower the bar until the upper arms touch down, pause, and press up; the floor caps the range and spares the shoulders.

How to do it
Setup
Lying on the floor under the rack's bar, knees bent, blades pinched.
Steps
- Lower the bar until the upper arms touch the floor.
- Pause dead on the floor.
- Press to lockout from the stop.
Common mistakes
Bouncing the arms: the dead stop is the lift's soul. Elbows slamming down: place them, silent. Hips bridging: they stay down; this is upper-body only.
Breathing
Inhale down, exhale pressing from the pause.
