Standing Wall Slide Quarter Squat Hold
Back against a wall, slide down only a quarter of the way and hold; the shallowest of the wall squat holds.
How to do it
Setup
Back flat against a wall, feet hip-width a short step out, arms by the sides.
Steps
- Slide down until the knees are bent about a quarter of the way.
- Hold, the back against the wall and the weight in the heels.
- Slide back up to standing.
Common mistakes
Knees drifting past the toes: step the feet a little further out. Pushing the lower back off the wall: keep the back flat against it. Knees falling in: keep them over the middle toes.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
