Seated Ulnar Nerve Mobilization
A seated glide for the ulnar nerve: the bent arm brings the upturned palm toward the ear as the head tips toward it, then both move apart.
How to do it
Setup
Seated tall on a chair, one arm out to the side, the elbow bent and the palm turned up beside the shoulder.
Steps
- Bend the elbow further and bring the palm toward the ear as the head tips toward it.
- Then open the elbow a little and tip the head away from the arm.
- Keep sliding between the two positions slowly.
Common mistakes
Pushing into numbness or pins and needles: back off to where the glide feels easy. Dropping the elbow below the shoulder: keep the upper arm out at about shoulder height. Tipping the head toward the hand in both phases: toward it as the palm comes in, away as it leaves.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
