Resistance Band Standing Single-Arm Biceps Stretch

A band hooked in the crook of the elbow and anchored under the foot draws the arm straight while the hand holds a bar; the biceps stretches.

How to do it

Setup

Standing beside a rack, one hand on a bar at chest height, a flat band from under the near foot hooked in the crook of that elbow.

Steps

  1. Let the band draw the elbow down until the arm is straight.
  2. Keep the hand on the bar and the shoulder down.
  3. Hold and breathe, then ease the band off and switch arms.

Common mistakes

Elbow snapping straight: let the band ease it there slowly. Shoulder hitching up: keep it down and back. Band pulling too hard: use a lighter loop.

Breathing

Slow and even through the hold.
