One-Arm Twisted Clean and Press
The one-arm landmine clean and press: floor to shoulder, then the hips pivot toward the anchor as the bar end is pressed up.
How to do it
Setup
Squatting beside the loaded end of a landmine bar, one hand on the bar near the plate, feet wide.
Steps
- Stand up and pull the bar end to the shoulder, elbow under it.
- Pivot the back foot and turn the hips toward the anchor.
- Press the bar end up and away along its line.
- Lower it to the shoulder, then to the floor; switch sides after the set.
Common mistakes
Twisting from the lower back with the feet planted: let the back heel lift so the hips turn with the chest. Pressing before the turn is finished: turn first, then press. Pulling the bar off the floor with a round back: squat down and keep the chest up.
Breathing
Exhale on the clean and again on the press.
