Landmine Bent-Over Row
The landmine row taken with no handle: both hands wrap the bar itself just behind the plate and row it to the chest.
How to do it
Setup
Straddle the bar facing the plate, hinge to about 45° with a flat back, both hands wrapped around the bar just behind the plate.
Steps
- Row the plate end up until the hands reach the chest.
- Keep the elbows close to the sides as they pass the ribs.
- Lower to long arms, the hinge unchanged.
Common mistakes
Hands sliding onto the plate or the collar: grip the bar itself, just behind them. Standing up as the plate rises: the hinge holds; the arms and blades lift. Rounding the back to reach the bar: bend the knees and keep the chest proud.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale lowering.
