Kettlebell Goblet Squat Jump

The goblet squat finished with a jump: the bell stays tight at the chest in the air and on the soft landing.

How to do it

Setup

A light kettlebell held by the horns at the chest, feet shoulder-width.

Steps

  1. Sit into the squat, bell at the chest.
  2. Jump straight up, the bell pinned to the chest.
  3. Land softly and sink into the next squat.

Common mistakes

Landing stiff and loud: bend the knees and let the hips absorb it. Bell bouncing off the chest: hold it tight. Going too heavy to jump cleanly: a light bell or none.

Breathing

Exhale on the jump, inhale landing.
