Kettlebell Alternating Arm Thruster

Two bells in the rack, a full squat, and one bell pressed overhead on the way up, the arms taking turns rep by rep.

How to do it

Setup

Two bells racked at the shoulders, elbows tucked, wrists straight.

Steps

  1. Squat deep with both bells held tight in the rack.
  2. Stand fast and drive one bell up to a straight arm.
  3. Bring it back to the rack on the way down; press the other side next.

Common mistakes

Wrist bent back under the bell: stack it straight over the forearm. Twisting toward the working arm: hips and shoulders stay square. Racked bell drifting off the chest: the resting elbow stays tucked.

Breathing

Inhale down, exhale through the drive.
