Band Triceps Kickback
The kickback against a band stood on under the feet; the tension climbs all the way to lockout.
How to do it
Setup
On the band, hinged forward, back flat, ends in the hands, upper arms at the ribs.
Steps
- Straighten the elbows until the forearms line up with the upper arms.
- Hold the lockout against the band for a beat.
- Let the forearms swing back down under control.
Common mistakes
Upper arms dropping as the band tightens: keep them by the ribs. Standing too upright: hinge further so the band pulls against the kickback. Snapping the reps: slow out, slower back.
Breathing
Exhale extending, inhale returning.
