Band Standing Leg Curl
Standing and holding a rack, curl one heel toward the buttock against a band anchored low on the rack; the band pulls hardest at the top of the curl.
How to do it
Setup
Facing a rack with both hands on it, a band from a low post looped around one ankle, standing knee soft.
Steps
- Curl the heel toward the buttock, the thigh pointing at the floor.
- Squeeze at the top while the band is tightest.
- Let the leg back down slowly; finish the leg, switch.
Common mistakes
Knee traveling forward to help the curl: it points straight down all set. Band snapping the leg back down: control the return. Leaning into the rack to finish the curl: stand tall, hips square.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
