Band Lying Reverse-Grip Pressdown
Face up with a band anchored low behind the head, the upper arms vertical: straighten the elbows against the band's pull, palms facing you.
How to do it
Setup
On your back, head toward the anchor, knees bent, hands holding the band underhand above the forehead, upper arms vertical.
Steps
- Straighten the elbows until the arms point at the ceiling.
- Keep the upper arms still; only the forearms move.
- Let the band bend the elbows back slowly.
Common mistakes
Upper arms swinging toward the head: freeze them vertical. Wrists bending back on the underhand grip: keep them straight. Band slack at the start: move farther from the anchor.
Breathing
Exhale extending, inhale returning.
