Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This policy explains how Trenno (“the App”), published by NEXTSIGNAL SOLUTIONS LTD (“we”), handles your information.
Short version: we do not collect anything. The App has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. Everything you log stays on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud. We cannot see your workouts, and we never receive them.
Information we collect
None. We operate no backend and the App sends no data to us. There is no registration, no login, no advertising identifier, no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
One clarification: when you open this policy or the terms from the App's About screen, the pages load from our website like any web page in a browser. That request carries the standard technical information any website receives and nothing from your App data.
Where your data lives
- On your device. Workouts, exercises, programs, notes, body measurements, your optional profile (name, birth date, gender) and settings are stored in the App's local database. A workout you record with the Apple Watch companion is sent to your iPhone and stored there like any other workout.
- In your private iCloud, if enabled. When you are signed in to iCloud, the App mirrors that database into the private area of your own iCloud account so your data survives a reinstall and reaches your other devices. That storage belongs to you and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to it, technically or otherwise. Measurements imported from Apple Health are the exception: they stay on the device only (see Apple Health below).
- Photos. Photos you attach (to an exercise, to a workout, as body-progress photos or as your profile avatar) are picked from your photo library or taken with the camera when you ask, and stored alongside your other App data. They are never uploaded to us.
- Backups. You can export your data as a JSON file. The file goes wherever you choose to save it; we are not involved and receive no copy.
Notifications
Optional workout reminders are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. There is no push server and no message is sent through us.
Links to other services
The App can open a YouTube search for an exercise in your browser. Once you follow such a link you are on a third-party site, subject to its own terms and privacy policy. We do not share any information with it.
Apple Health
The App can connect to Apple Health. The integration is optional, off by default, and controlled by you, in the App's settings and in the Health permissions of your iPhone and watch:
- Reading. With your permission the App reads your body measurements (weight, body fat, height, lean body mass, waist) to show them alongside your training, and, if you enable the recovery features, your sleep and workouts recorded by other apps or devices, to estimate muscle recovery.
- Writing. With your permission the App saves your finished workouts (together with the calories you logged on cardio sets, written as Active Energy) and the body measurements you log in the App (weight, body fat, height, lean body mass, waist) to Apple Health.
- Apple Watch. With your permission the Apple Watch companion reads your heart rate during a workout you record on the watch, to show it on your wrist, and saves that workout to Apple Health together with its active energy. Heart-rate readings stay on the watch, in memory, for the duration of the workout; they are not synced to your phone or to iCloud.
- Storage. Data imported from Apple Health stays on your device only. It is not mirrored to iCloud, it is excluded from your device's backups and, like everything else, it never reaches us.
Workout logs themselves can be considered health-related information. Because your data never leaves your device and your own iCloud, it is not collected, processed, sold or shared by us, with Apple Health data this goes further still: it never leaves the device at all.
Children
The App is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone, regardless of age.
Your control over your data
- Export everything at any time from Settings.
- Delete individual entries in the App, or remove the App to delete its local data.
- Manage or delete the iCloud copy through your Apple ID settings (Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage).
- Turn Apple Health access off at any time, in the App's settings or in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase on request, but you are welcome to contact us with any question.
Changes to this policy
If the App ever starts collecting data, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described here with a new date.
